Katherine Kersten is a graduate of Batavia High School and
a former member of the Batavia High School Varsity Dance
Team. After graduation, she assisted with the Batavia High
School Junior Varsity Dance Team. She then went on to
dance with the Vikettes Pom Pon squad at Augustana
College in Rock Island, IL. She graduted from Augustana in
May 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business with a
concentration in Marketing. She is currently a graduate
student at National-Louis University in Lisle, IL, and is
working on her Masters Degree in education. Her passion
for competitive dance brought her to her current position as
a coach with Dynamic Dance All Stars, where she coaches
the Junior and Junior Elite teams with Coach Nea Cortez.

Debbie Von Oehsen began to study dance at the age of
three. She continued to study dance throughout
elementary and high school under the direction of Bruce
Stegman, Jay Fagan and Dorthy Kirschembaum. In
college, Debbie studied ballet, modern, tap, jazz and
contemporary dance at Northern Illinois University and
was a member of the NIU Dance Line while completing
her degree in elementary education with an
endorsement in dance performance. Currently, Debbie
teaches first grade at Grace McWayne Elementary
School in Batavia, IL. She has recently earned her
Master’s Degree in Reading Instruction from Aurora
University. Debbie is the founder and artistic director of
Dynamic Dance Allstars dance company. In addition,
she is a dance instructor at Moves Dance Studio in
North Aurora, IL. Debbie was also formerly the Head
Junior Varisty Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach for
the Batavia High School Dance Team for four years.
